British Cycling fan page
The British Cycling Fan Page on Facebook was designed to harvest excitement around British Cycling successes at the Olympics.
Nudge worked with Sky to produce daily updates throughout the Olympics to keep the fan page fresh and alive.
Getting fan engaged
Using the PageFi tool we ensured that content on the Fan page was fresh and relevant throughout the Olympics. We produced daily updates which Fans loved.
Engaging fans on a Fan page is more than just pushing updates however - by encouraging fans to upload their own photos by rewarding two a week with a featured spot on the Fan page, we gathered over 100 fan photos during the two week period. Each time a fan uploads a photo this is promoted out via their social graph to all their friends, so in turn promoting the Fan page to a wider audience.
We also added PollFi to ask poll questions, videos for fans to upload videos and participated in wall discussions as the gold medals came rolling in.
